Fuel Feed pump Volvo FH image
K2,800
Delivers fuel from the tank to the injection pump continuously and at a reasonable pressure. It is necessary because there is possibility of formation of vapour bubbles and subsequently cavitation in the pump due to suction of the rapidly moving plungers of the injection pump. This would lead to uncontrolled variations in the rate of delivery of fuel to the cylinders, causing rough running and possibly even mechanical damage to the engine.

Water Separator Pump Universal image
K650
This part is designed to remove water and solid contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the fuel pump. This is to ensure that ensure that clean fuel is delivered to the engine of your truck.
Fuel Filter MP4 (KX406) image

Engines require fuel to run, anything that impedes the flow of fuel can cause starting or running issues. This part will filter out potentially harmful dirt or debris that could enter your truck’s fuel system and cause these symptoms.
Fuel Feed pump Atego image
K3,500
This feed pump will efficiently deliver fuel from the fuel tank of your truck to the fuel injection pump continuously and at a reasonable pressure through the fuel filter. It is attached to the injection pump and driven by its camshaft.

Fuel System
This part builds pressure or suction in the gas tank, thereby encouraging the fuel level to rise to the injection systems and on to the engine block. It will also help you if you ever run out of fuel and when changing the fuel filter.

The main purpose of the fuel feed system is to control the fuel supply to the engine. To supply the fuel from the fuel tank to the engine cylinders

Fuel Systems

Fuel system comprises components that deliver fuel from the tank to the engine,

The fuel system of a vehicle is made up of the fuel tank, pump, filter, and injectors. This system in a vehicle is responsible for delivering fuel to the engine as needed. The engine intake system is where the fuel is mixed with air, atomized, and vaporized. Once that has taken place, it can be compressed in the engine cylinder and ignited to produce energy. Although fuel systems vary from engine to engine, all systems are the same in that they must supply fuel to the combustion chamber and control the amount of fuel supplied in relation to the amount of air. Browse through this category for various fuel system equipment available in Zambian stores.

To perform at this level, diesel cars must have a fuel system with all of its components (fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel filters, fuel pumps, and fuel injectors) in proper working order. Understanding what these components do aids you in caring for them well.

The basic types of fuel injection systems are single-point fuel injection, multi-point fuel injection, sequential fuel injection, and direct injection.

Types of Fuel for Cars

  • Gasoline. Gasoline is the most common automobile fuel and is used all over the world to power cars, motorcycles, scooters, boats, lawnmowers, and other machinery
  • Diesel Fuel
  • Bio-diesel
  • Ethanol

A vehicle's fuel system comprises components that deliver fuel from the tank to the engine, including a fuel pump, fuel lines, a fuel-pressure regulator, fuel filter and fuel injectors. Fuel system components are built to last, so the fuel filter is the only part that's likely to require replacement on a schedule.

  • Petroleum diesel. Petroleum diesel, or fossil diesel, is the most common type of fuel, used in freight trucks, trains, buses and farm and construction vehicles
  • Synthetic diesel
  • Biodiesel
  • Hydrogenated oils and fats
  • Dimethyl ether (DME)

The function of the diesel fuel system is to inject a precise amount of atomized and pressurized fuel into each engine cylinder at the proper time. Combustion in a diesel engine occurs when this rush of fuel is mixed with hot compressed air. (No electrical spark is used in a gasoline engine.)

Common rail is a fuel injection system found in modern diesel engines. Common rail systems provide a level of flexibility which can be exploited for class leading emission control, power and fuel consumption.
