The highs and lows of life — here’s why we’ve been Missing In Action

We planned to release Shopbwana in October. A lot of interest and momentum was generated, but then we went quiet. Here’s why.

Baby news

My husband and I are excited to announce that we are expecting our second child. This is of course, a blessing. But, the severe nausea and vomiting that came with our happy news was a shock. So far, this pregnancy has been very different to my first and I have spent the last two months convalescing and rather unproductive. As I navigate my way through my second trimester I have turned a corner and I am more able to function, albeit not as fast paced as I normally would be!

Family bereavement

In October, work took a back seat for our Developer, Luke, as he and his wife went to Brazil because her mum was unwell. Very sadly, she passed away and they both stayed in Brazil for a few weeks. As our families have been close friends for many years, this loss has been felt deeply.

Facing challenges head on

There have been other challenges too, illness, a car crash and the state of the Zambian economy, to name a few.

Sometimes life throws almighty curve balls. No amount of planning and contingency can prepare you for the joy and pain and highs and lows of life and loss.

So, this is the first step in bringing you up to speed. We are redoing schedules and Gantt charts and will reappear shortly on social media.

We are as committed and excited as ever to deliver on our vision of Shopbwana, the FREE tool to help independent retailers SELL better through WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Glad to have you with us on this journey.
