Demand from both individuals and lodges has seen this business grow from small shipments of imported Kikoys to the creative enterprise it is today.<h4>More about the Kikoy</h4>Kikoy, a wraparound garment traditionally worn by men, is particularly comfortable in hot weather. Kikoys are characteristically woven using bright colour combinations. To secure your Kikoy, simply wrap it fairly tightly around the middle, or hips, and roll it over outwards a couple of times at the top. Kikoy cloth is also used to make a wide range of sewn items such as skirts, dresses, bags and even curtains.Possibly originating from an item of clothing worn by Arab traders as they plied the east African coastline, the Kikoy has become a fitting symbol of Kenya and Tanzania.
