Also known as a clutch disc, this clutch plate is designed to deliver power from the engine to the transmission. It is fitted between the flywheel and the pressure plate. A worn out clutch will slip against the flywheel and fail to transmit power from the engine to the transmission. Avoid spongy, sticking, vibrating or loose clutch pedal when pressed, squeaking or grumbling noise when pressed, revving the engine, but poor acceleration, difficulty shifting gears as well as a slipping' clutch, causing a momentary loss of acceleration.
