The 3 sections of a vehicle

  • The front section includes everything between the front bumper and firewall.

A car hood also referred to as a bonnet in some other countries is the hinged cover that rests over the engine of a front-engine vehicle. Its purpose is to provide access to the engine for repair and maintenance. A concealed latch is typically used to hold down the hood.

A vehicle frame, also historically known as its chassis, is the main supporting structure of a motor vehicle to which all other components are attached, comparable to the skeleton of an organism. The undercarriage is the part of a moving vehicle that is underneath the main body of the vehicle.

Typically, a car trunk is the primary storage area for cargo or luggage in a sedan, coupe or convertible. The word "trunk" is used primarily in North America, while the word "boot" is often used in other English-speaking countries.

The reason for this is the quarter panel is much more expensive and labour-intensive to remove and replace.
