Sodium Hydroxide Low Chloride Pellets is commonly known as Caustic soda. This inorganic compound is water soluble, as well as in ethanol and methanol. The dissolution of solid Sodium Hydroxide in water creates a highly exothermic reaction. One of its many characteristics is that it's a deliquescent alkali and absorbs carbon dioxide and moisture from the air. Used in many industries, most notably in the manufacture of pulp, paper, textiles, drinking water, detergents and as household drain cleaner. Sodium Hydroxide is used as the quality standard against which other substances are graded and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity.
