Mode of Action

  • Swift Combi WP has residual and systemic properties, Carbendazim is a systemic fungicide that is rapidly taken up by green parts of the plant and transported upwards and downwards within the plant, thereby getting uniformly distributed in the leaves. It provides curative control of fungi by inhibiting fungal growth and reproduction. Mancozeb is a protective residual fungicide that provides a protective film over the plant surfaces, thereby inhibiting the germination of spores. The combination of the two ingredients provide excellent control of susceptible fungal pathogens

Directions for use

Potatoes

  • -Early blight & Late Blight: 2.0 kg/Ha (50g/20 litres)

Tomatoes

  • -Early blight & Late Blight: 2.0-2.5 kg/Ha (50g/20 litres)
  • -Damping-off complex: 2.0-2.5 kg/Ha (50g/20 litres)

Ornamental Crops (Roses)-Downy Mildew Fungle leaf spot diseases: 200-250g/litre

Application Timing

Start applying when disease signs are seen or when the disease is actively establishing in the field and the crop is growing vigorously. Apply at 10-14 day intervals but if the weather conditions favour disease development apply at 5-7 day intervals. Do not take more than 3 consecutive sprays. If more spray applications are required, alternate with fungicides with a different mode of action

Preparation of spray mixture

Fill the tank with half the required amount of water, add the required amount of Swift Combi WP and were required, an insecticide, adjuvant or foliar fertilizer. Fill the spray tank to the level with water and continue agitation.

Application Technique

Use a spray volume of 300-1500 L per Ha for potatoes and tomatoes and 1,000-1,500 L per Hz on ornamental crops, depending on the size and type of crop canopy, to ensure thorough coverage.

Important Note

The product should not be mixed with any other products before performing a trial application. Make sure to test the product on a small scale are before using it for commercial application. The tank-mix combination of the product with any organosilica-based product should be done only after performing a trial application in order to prevent Phytotoxicity.

Re-Entry Period

Greenhouse: After the spray, the mixture has dried

Crop Field: After 12 hours have elapsed

Hazard/Precautions

Handling: Wear suitable protective clothing, namely overall, face shield, impermeable boots and hand gloves when preparing the spray mixture and spraying. Avoid breathing the spray mist, contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not apply upwind and stay out of the spray mist. Do not smoke, drink or eat while handling this product.

After Work: Change clothes and wash hands and face with soap and water thoroughly. Wash the spraying equipment and any contaminated clothing carefully

Storage

Store in original, tightly closed (or sealed) container, in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, out of reach of children unauthorized persons and animals, away from food, drinks and animal feed. Avoid Storage about 30 degrees Celcius

Disposal

Dispose of surplus product on a landfill site approved for pesticides or bury in a safe place, away from water supplies. Dilute surplus application mixture, pour it or broadcast on fallow land. Empty paper bag containers are to be flattened, perforated and disposed of on a landfill site or buried in a safe place, away fro water sources. Do not re-use containers for any other purpose

Pesticide Leakage & Spillage

In event of heavy spillage, collect the spilt product and contaminated soil layer and bury it in an authorized place, away from water supplies. The spillage and contaminated soil must be stored in marked waste bings prior to disposal in an authorized landfill site. The pesticide store must be decontaminated by washing with a lot of water

Wildlife and Environmental Precautions

Swift Combi WP is toxic to fish. Do not contaminate water used for irrigation or domestic purposes, or water ponds and waterways by direct application. cleaning of equipment, disposal of wastes and empty containers. Keep all livestock out of areas to be treated.
